Welcome to the latest addition to our webspace.
In this section, We (all types of different members of the AIT team) will present articles about topics, t hat we think might be of interest to you. Today I will start this section with an article about a free software tools called launchy (http://www.launchy.net ).
Launchy is great – It is a free utility to replace the start button for most of its tasks; I have often thought that the start button was maybe a little too complicated to use, especially if you have many programs installed and not always remember under which group the program was originally located. Using Launchy, you can start your favorite programs, browse your folders or do basic calculations with just a few keystrokes, Pressing a hotkey (in my case that is alt+space) opens the Launchy window, into which you can enter the name of the program or file you would like to open. Launchy is indexing the program information on your hard drive and makes suggestions as you type in letters. So to start excel for instance, I just press alt+space and than ex and then enter and excel starts – that is a big time safer and works for all programs installed.
